Playing with a "huge" range of tones, in your case, white, gray, and black help establish volumn or at least some depth and it will also help establish better focal point.
If you understood...what ever I said...haha...XD!
Clarity isn't something I am worry about. Some people get it, some people don't, though I like being in the middle.
The focal point is kinda established by a zooming line but it also intersected like "a conflict" as if they were piecing a wall.
Overall speaking, I still think I did pretty well. You just see a vague little creature and a guy facing it, and thats pretty much there to it
